I supported DevOps at Tembo and backed up the other developers as needed.
The day that mattered was the Texas School Report launch. Traffic on a public education release is spiky and unforgiving, and there is no second attempt at a launch. I monitored and scaled resources live to hold it up.
Day to day I deployed to production and handled bugfixes across our nginx-based reverse proxy microservice architecture, reviewed and helped maintain the Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, and wrote the GitLab CI/CD scripts our pipelines ran on.
